Platinum(II) complexes, oxaliplatin and carboplatin, have been prepared and characterized. In the case of carboplatin, 1,3-Cyclobutanedicarboxylic ligand have been synthesized in good yields using different methodology to achieve high purity. 1H and 13C NMR spectra, IR spectroscopy were used to characterize this compound. The carboplatin complex was achieved with high purity confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
