Crystals of Glycine picrate doped with manganese chloride had grown successfully by solution growth method from its aqueous solution. The grown crystals were subjected to X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies to identify the morphology and structure. The FTIR study reveals the presence of functional groups of the sample under investigation. The NLO property of the crystals has been confirmed by UV spectrum which is established through the UV cut-off range below 490 nm that is sufficient for SHG efficiency. The XRD spectrum of the sample was indexed using the Chekcel software. Keywords: Glycine picrate, FTIR, UV, XRD, Chekcell
