Activity-guided isolation of anti-inflammatoryactive fractionsofCyperusrotundusL. Family (Cyperaceae) led to isolation and identification of two known compounds (Di-(2'-ethylhexyl) phthalate and Stigmasterol.The anti-inflammatory effect was evaluated by Carrageenaninduced rat paw edema. Different chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques were used for isolation and identification of the two compounds.
